HONORABLE ACTION

When is the last time you heard someone give his word for something, and that was good enough? No one believes it anymore. The words 'I promise you' have come to mean almost nothing, thanks in part to generations of politicians who fail to live up to their promises. It has to start somewhere, right? Never, ever, make a promise you believe you cannot keep. If you break a promise, explain it and make up for it immediately. Is that really so hard? Most of us wouldn't have such a problem with this in the first place if we would learn to think before we give our promises.
