R. CARLOS NAKAI: ISLAND OF BOWS (NATIVE AMERICAN/JAPANESE/NEW AGE)
Musically, West meets East in this mixing of Native American flute music with traditional Japanese instrumentation. Recorded in Kyoto's Hounji Temple, 'Island of Bows' is the soothing result of the collaboration between Native American flutist R. Carlos Nakai with Wind Travelin' Band, Shonsuke Ohkura, and Oki Kano. This recording is almost otherworldly in its delicate beauty.
