Learn to type/keyboard correctly. Major retail companies like Target are going to online applications. That means you have to type out your application on a mini computer terminal, and guess what? They time you! You won't be considered a typist unless you can type 45 words per minute (wpm) (a secretary should type at least 60 wpm). If you just use two fingers and "hunt and peck" on the keyboard, the fastest you can go is 35 wpm after several years. You really need your keyboarding skills in college as you will do lots of papers and homework via a computer. The slower you go, the more time you will spend in the library or the computer lab instead of at the frat party.
